The Christian Chefs of Arizona is an organization that seeks to follow the words of our LORD and become fishers of men. Through the work of the Holy Spirit we educate one another on sound Christian doctrine and the words of our LORD and Savior, Jesus Christ.
It is important to stay grounded in the Word each and every day and we encourage this through vigorous study of the Bible in our "Spiritual Growth" section. In the last few months we have discussed how important the Bible is to us and how and why we believe that it is the infallible Word of God. We have shared favorite verses and chapters with one another and we have increased our knowledge of key parts of the Scriptures.
It is also important that we stay current in our own industry so we offer monthly lessons for our members in our "Professional Growth" section. So far we have studied nutrition, cooking with seasonal foods, and the 29 most healthy foods on the planet. We have taken field trips to The Farm at South Mountain and we took part in a Passover Seder in April.
We have spent time discussing the American Culinary Federation and membership is encouraged but not neccessary. We have teamed up with one of the local ACF capters and helped put together a community event to beneifit the people affected by hurricane Katrina. We look forward to working together with the ACF when we get our Kid's Cafe up and running.
We share favorite spiritual books and Christian living books as well as favorite culinary books and magazines all in an effort to grow both spiritually and professionally.
We must educate ourselves to make sure we have the right tools to do the job that awaits us. We must be prepared to follow Jesus and become fishers of men. The CCA is one resource to better equip you in your walk.
